Correcting the EIN on 5500-EZ

As noted in our Form 5500-EZ instructions, the form should be completed with the EIN of the adopting business only:

The EIN of the 401k is not requested on Form 5500-EZ.

• If past Forms 5500-EZ have been submitted with the wrong EIN, the IRS recommends filing an amended return to correct it:
